The owner of the Bikini Beach Bar, Barry, had this to say:
We have bands on Fri. nights, Sat. nights, and Sun. afternoons. Any of these days or all of them would be great. If you can let me know how many to expect, we could maybe have some food ready for you guys when you arrive. I have asked him for recommendations on biker friendly (safe for the bikes) places to stay. He seems to be real interested in helping us plan for this raid on Nashville! And the Bikini Beach Bar is supposedly one of the best biker bars in the country. But for you guys going to Sturgis with me it will only be a tune up for the "FULL THROTTLE SALOON" !!!!!

Ok, ok I'm in. It may take me a while to get there though, as I am right outside of Chattanooga, TN on the GA side of the line. I can make music city in about 2 hours on I-75 which runs about 10 minutes from the house or a little longer if I go up US 41. But count me in along with the wife, she'll be there too as well as my dad, he rides a wing and/or a roadstar :flame: . Don't worry bout my dad not fitting in with the younguns he's only 57 I'm forty and will be 41 by then. Seriously, I'm looking foward to this as I missed the roadstar warrior festival this week at deal's gap. I made quite a few friends there, and hope to do the same here. See ya then, Joe

First I would like to commend you on doing a great job of "herding cats". Nashville is a great central location and in my case 615 miles one way. I had told Flip in an earlier e-mail that if I went I would have the R/3 on a trailer but after a visit next door to my son-in-law that has changed. He has a set of soft bags and a tank bag I can use and he even threw in a butt buffer sheep skin seat cover he wasn't using. (I don't know if it could have been a former girlfriend of Jack or not.) If I go I will overnight in Johnson City Tn. on Thursday July 5th, that would be about half way for me and I pretty sure about all the back could take in a day. I would arrive in Nashville on Friday the 6th. If commited I will post the Johnson City motel where I will overnight in case any other easthern Rt. 81 riders want to hook up for the ride in. Ray I would just suggest that anybody really thinking about going make reservations soon wherever the rendezvous point is. The week of the fourth is top vacation time for whole summer and I'm sure traffic will be horrific out my way. Just suggestions, I know from a a#@hole who still sitting on the fence but as you guys can see, I am thinking real hard about it.
