I was wondering if they were going to make TORs for the Roadster, any word on that?
I could paint mine flat black, take off the chrome, hang Roadster exhaust and brag that I got a new bike for X-Mas.
:D

The Beetle Bags are made by Corbin Corbin Motorcycle Seats & Accessories | Triumph Rocket III (3) | 800-538-7035 and the K-drives can be found about anywhere. A website with a large selection is Click & kick saddlebags Triumph . You can shop around for the K-Drives to find the best price but there is only one place to find the Beetle Bags.
I made the mistake of buying the smaller set of K-Drives, It would have been nicer to have the Big Ones for the extra room and locking flaps. They both lock to the bike and are really easy to take on and off so you can go hot rodding around naked.
I was picturing those Beetle Bags in flat black mounted to a new flat black '10 Roadster with those oversize dual chrome pipes, no rear seat, no sissy bar, just flat black with roadster clean lines .... I like it.

Brilliant and thanks. Off to speak to my dealer about the Roadster on the 31/10! Will let you know how it goes....

$$$$$$$$$$$

Looks like the things that make the Roadster so cool looking, like the blacked out radiator caps, mirrors and fly screen are all "extras". So you can add around $800.00 to the sticker to get it to look like the picture:mad:. So it's basically a Standard with more torque/horsepower and new shocks and pipes. Kinda like a Mexican restaurant...just how many different things can you make with beans, meat and flower?

Well here is another peek at the Roadster. Its in french, so I'm not really sure what they are saying, (even though I'm Canadian I'm not French Canadian), but I think the smiles on their faces are recognized world wide as "Holy ****...I like it!"

Shows bike with different windscreen combinations, the clear one, black and none. I would've liked to see on with some bags on it. I have seen some pics of an extra screen that has been put on a speed triple flyscreen, which looks to be very similiar to the rockets..does anyone know if they make an extra windsreen to go on top of the flyscreen to add bit more wind resistance?

Hope someone can translate...YouTube - Essai de la Triumph Rocket III Roadster

Thanks Hellfire for the link to the K-Drive bags. I had seen your photo's and really like the K Bags much better than Triumph. I need to get the high capacity bags for two up travels this spring and summer, but would like to take em off if we go to the mountains for a day up here in North Carolina. The K Drives I really like because the mounting hardware does not also function as an air brake (not too large - LOL)

I really, really like the sound of the Roadster. Dang, that's what mine should sound like.:(

Not being "French Canadian" should not shield you from making the effort to learn French. Having two or more (e.g. Switzerland) national languages is a blessing, not something to feel detached from/sorry about, I 'd humbly submit

Can translate the footage, if there are requests that I do so.

TAKE CARE

I think you would be happier with the larger bags, I didn't find out they had them until after I had my smaller ones for awhile. Being able to lock the flap down is a serious plus as well, I get a little nervous leaving my leathers in them. They lock to the bike so I don't worry about the bags walking away, but even though it would take a huge set of balls to go through someones saddle bags, it's always in the back of my mind while somewhere rough.

As long as you can fart really loud and hard after the meal, does it really matter?

Good point...and if it's true that you are what you eat, then I'm about 50% Mexican amoung other things:eek:. I'm guilty of liking the Roadster and Mexican food.

I saw a brand new Victory Cross Country that a buddy of mine was taking delivery of today. That made me stain my shorts and not from a wet fart. What a gorgeous machine!
