Hoping someone can help. I go for a ride on my 2010 roadster no problems. I stop for fuel, I fill up, I go to start it and nothing ,no head lights no movement on the gauges nuthin. I start checking fuses relays the usual stuff, nuthin. Walk away to phone for a lift, come back after 20 mins or so and the bloody thing starts, no problem. It has done this twice now in a day. No start no lights, no fuel pump, no gauges. Walk away, and leave it to itself for half an hour and its fine.WTF?

Check your vin number at a dealer to see if it has had the recall for headlamp/ignition switch bypass relay. If it hasn't then, as said above, it could very well be your ignition switch going south.

Thanks guys. I have already had the upgrade done but from what from what Ive learnt my trouble isnt necessarily over. Basically, great bike, crap electrics. Good too find out that the english have kept up the fine tradition of fantasic automotive products and fit them wih shockingly bad electrical systems. You'd think they'd get it right after over 100 years in the industry. Looks like i'm on my own as triumph dont want to know unless I pay them(again for the same thing $700) This is my 5th triumph and probably my last.(sick of walking) Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction. You guys out there are great.
