Rocket III Touring 2014 (previously 2008)
1. Has anyone changed pipes on RIII Touring to get louder and/or add HP?

2. What's the best all-weather cover for the Touring, Dowco XX Large?

The answer to number 1 is yes.

Have you read through the three pages of posts in the R3 Touring Section? There's quite a bit of useful information there. I've detailed the changes to my bike and the dyno results of those changes.

No idea about covers. Mine lives in a garage. When its out and about it gets dirty.

Cool

Thanks for the tips. I heard that the Triumph Cover was thin and didn't have protection for the hot pipes? Do you know about that? They said it's blue w/ a Triumph emblem. If it's good I'd get it but sounded like maybe the Dowco Cover was better b/c it's thick w/ heat protection. I've always used Dowco and I just have a carport. Fishbein

2008 or 2009

Hi all,

I am new to this forum so if my post is out of place please advise. I have a few questions about the R3T. First is there a difference between the 2008 R3T and the 2009 R3T? I have located a R3T 2008 still on a showroom floor and it has two tone paint. Here in the US the asking price for a 2009 R3T two tone is around $17,500. So I am looking for your opinions on what a fair price for the 2008 R3T two tone might be? i am also interested and how much the value will drop once this bike is driven off the showroom floor? I am not a tight wad just trying to figure out what a fair offer would be and compare that to the value after ridden, being it would be 3 years old.

Your probably better off with the heavy cover since you have a carport, a light weight one will likely blow around in the wind and scratch paint, chrome and plastic parts.
