ROCKET III RIDING SCHOOL

Take a Kevin Schwantz(spelling) riding school or other pro ex racers course. Usuall a 2 dayer but everything is taught from braking, how you place your feet on the pegs, counter steering, apexs etc. I've seen everything from Wings to Harleys take these courses and it is well worth it..

If you want to be able to corner tight and fast on the RIII you need ride with your feet on the passenger pegs. Just my 2 cents

Thanks for the leads, Drofs and torch. 1fast, is that as opposed to putting your feet on boards? I don't have pegs any more. My bike came with a raask leg pretzel twister rear set on it and I off-loaded them as soon as I could and opted for the foot boards.

The next time you're in the twisties put your feet on the passenger pegs, this allows the boards to collapse giving you more cornering angle. . It may be briefly uncomfortable, but it's a small price to pay for the added ground clearance. In the third photo I actually drug the crash bar

OKAY. Looks like I'm going to need a few yoga classes before I can do that as I'm not sure my "nearly 50" body can bend like that any more. I've actually tried on occasion to rest my feet on the passenger pegs while I'm riding but cramps set in real quick. I can see how it gives you more ground clearance, though. Thanks for the tip and I'll work on it.
