Rocket 3 drawing attention!

every time I happen to go down town "The Mistress" draws them in like flowers draw the bees, even as you ride people look to see what this big bike that doesn't sound like a hardly but sound good comes rumbling along:cool: I just Smile:)

The fact you're on one smoking' wheel might have something to do with it too.

I like it when someone asks how big it is "what is it, 1000cc?"

1000cc that's funny!!! Today while Russel and I were waiting next to the bikes for Brian to arive two guys walked up and one said " triumph eh, yeàh I used to have a speed twin how big are they ... 500 or 600cc"" Russel and I laughed then Russel said they are 750cc in each cylinder and there are three of them! The look on thier faces was priceless:eek:

you know I went for a ride yesterday first on back home pulled up to a light and a hd puleed up to he looked at me and said sh%t I cant hear mine lol love that new exhust lol

pretty cool huh?
nobody ever looks at all the 20-30 thousand dollar harleys I usually ride with,
but EVERYBODY wants to look at the Rocket.
be 50 harleys sittin' around, polished to perfection,
and they'll pass them by to come see 1 dirty well ridden Rocket.
The ugliest bike on 3 Rocket sites BTW.;)

Skip your bike isn't any uglier then the rest of ours, but it definitely has personality. It creates the kind of feeling you get looking at a well used shovel. If it could talk, oh the stories it could tell !

Get used to it.

The fun part is at poker runs when there is a couple hundred Harleys and there's always a crowd checking out the Rocket.:p

I just finished the "Bike Time" weekend here where I live. About 50,000 bikes. Probably 49,000 of them Harleys. Every time I walked past where mine was parked there was always someone looking at it. :p

I "think" a mans bike should reflect who he is.
ya know, YOU put your blood, sweat, and Money into making it an extention of you,
so You're comfortable with it, just the way you like it.
I'd say "ugly" pretty much fits me, so it's all good.
you're right Fred, it definetly has personality..
Thank GOD it can't talk.;)

I attend a local bike night fairly regularly, although not so much this year. Every time I go though it always gets attention. There's always people who have never seen one in person. What gets me, is almost every time I go, someone tells me that they didn't know that Triumph was still in business. I mean, really?

When I had my '00 Thunderbird Sport, I would chalk it up to Triumph only being back in the U.S since 1995.. But now?? Triumph has been back in production since 1991 and in this country since 1995!! I reply nicely, but in my mind I'm thinking "You people really must have your heads shoved deep in a hole somewhere!!!".. lol

With myself, Triumph was never within my scope of "awareness". I remember their cars, but not really sure about their motorcycles. Probably had seen them and in the back of my mind thought "not for me" and filed it away...

Until about a year and a half ago, was getting ready to be a ride leader for my local forum when we met at a european motorcycle dealer; while their bread and butter was Ducati and BMW, they had some Triumphs including the most beautiful machine I've ever seen; the Bonneville T100.

Took me about 6 months to get a Bonneville and that bike thrilled me so much that I had to have a 2nd Triumph which turned out to be my present 2011 R3T.

Most are so use to seeing harleys as the ONLY worthy motorcycle,
the ONE every other motorcycle rider wishes they had,
that it just floors em when they see something BIGGER, BADDER, & BETTER.
Not to mention more dependable, and not strewing parts all down the highway.
When ya tell them Triumph has been around longer that harley, has more
legacy, heritage, and world championships, they just kinda hang their heads..
