Roadster oil dipstick

Dealer rang today, they have recovered the dipstick (had to remove the oiltank), waiting on a couple of new O rings to refit, so should have the bike back by the weekend, and covered by warranty. They dont have a replacement stick in Oz, so they have ordered 1 from Triumph UK which I should get in a few weeks they say.
Pity the service wasnt covered as well , cost an arm and leg

OK finally got the beast back, dipstick removed from the oil tank, and on sighting it no untoward marks etc on it, so do damage done by the look of it

No idea, Think there is a circlip(also recovered) that is ment to hold it in place in the cap, dealer thinks that is what failed

Dropped it.....that's nothin....wait till you pull it out and it's dry

maybe when you put it back in you need to use polly grip.
the last time i dropped mine when the slack came out of it i jerked a kink in my back
