Rivco risers on a Roadster

Thanks Bro, I appreciate the info. BTW, six days and Nels will work his magic, I'm STOKED!

Very cool! You won't be sorry - he da man!
Be sure and say hello for me - Steve from Tacoma.

For not that much more coin due to exchange rate if you are in the US:

Thunderbike Engineering - Rocket 3 - Online Shop

I recently ordered a set of 1.5" in Black, should give me a bit more reclined position than what I had on already.
I've been I touch with Thunderbike and been on the fence for the very same bars, the question for me is how my gauges will mount on my roadster, I would love to see how they look on your bike and get your opinion as far as how much more recline you get.
I think they would look great on any bike.
Would you mind letting me know your opinion on them?
Thanks
JP

Absolutely will post about it.
I hated the stock bars, because of how turned in the grips are, when really leaned over it put my inside hand, the hand on the inside of the turn, at an uncomfortable angle. Normal riding around was fine, but when I was pretending I am Casey Stoner trying to grind off those stubborn pegs feelers it just felt wrong how twisted my hand was. I swaped to a black bar that was about 2 inches lower and 2 inches forward of stock, but critically it left the hands in more of a "flat" position. In turns if provided the perfect angle for me. At 6'2", the reach was good, but not perfect, It left me slightly clamshelled, similar to the upper body position of a V-Rod, slightly hunkered forward.

My back sucks, I'm 60 in a 36 year old body.

So... These bars were the only ones I found that had a reclined position with flat hands. I've found that when I can lean back, I get a better sense of speed and torque, so while it may be optimal to be leaned forward for performance.... the feeling reclined is far superior, so these and a drivers backrest are coming soon :)

From what I can tell they look like some really sick bars and would look AWSOME on a rocket, I came from a line of indecision looking for more power, starting with a heavenly modified road star warrior, to a hyabusa ( way to uncomfortable) for long rides, to a stripped nighttain,( looked good but gutless), to a beautiful streetglide that could do 750 mile days without a hitch.
Now finally the Rocket, love at first site, style and a viscous motor with gobs of possibilities, those Thunderbike bars look like they would give better control when high speed cornering. I've slowed down a bit but not much, still like to drag a knee once in awhile, lol
I hope they work for you, and if they work on a roadster they will be in my future,
Ride safe

Akbusa1,
Here are some close up pictures of the risers installed on my Rocket. You can see that the instruments still attach to the crossbar on top of the handlebars, just like they do before. Mine may look different, but it is only because I have put a RAM mount on top of the instrument cluster hold down bolts. The Ram mount holds my cell phone, which also then acts as my GPS and radio.
Let me know if there are any more questions or different angles you would like a photo from. Good luck with your quest and I am sure you will find just the way you want it one way or another.

No problem. This forum has been a great source of information for me and I am pleased to have the opportunity to "pay it forward". Good luck in your quest for comfort and remember, hang on tight, it is a Rocket!
