I was actually looking to make a diesel RIII (cowers under the table) and the dual spark tubes already offer the opportunity. I shall have to get an engine.

P.S. I did that cranky-snap thing to a Hillman Imp, many moons ago. But the break had enough angle on it that it still ran, and it took me 50 miles to home, sounding like a cement mixer. But I knew I was in trouble when I backed the engine out, and the clutch ran off down the driveway.
Yeah, I was wondering that. But if they used that blanked port, the injector would have to run through the oily cam box and the coolant channel underneath it. And I don't think that is an approved method of putting an injector into a cylinder. But you should be able to get one down the spark tube.
