Old man on a bike
If you look around you can find some chrome or stainless 1" spacer bushing. Stainless tube will work as well. Get a longer bolt and use a proper size washer between the bolt head and the spacer so the bungee won't slide off. I've done it before.

Yep always hunt same or similar items from China sources especially if no possible quality issues arise with a basic item like a metal bobbin. Often local sellers try and flog same things for 4x the amount and nearly ALL world manufacturers use Chinese made components these days.

Do the nuts on the inside of the fender come off? I ordered a set of bobbins but they come with lock nuts because the bolts are bigger than stock so the nuts on the backside won't work?
