2009 Rocket 3 Touring
Hi All. I have a 2009 rocket three touring. I just installed the RAM air system with the Stock Exhaust equipped.
Could somebody please provide me with a good RAM air with stock exhaust map?
I would like to combine that with a de-restricted map, and wondering if I can flash both maps at the same time.
Any advice or help with this is very appreciated as I am brand new to tune ecu.

Your ECU will hold only one map, it's not something you can toggle like Sport, Rain, or Road riding modes. Being a 2009 with stock exhaust you won't need any new maps because you can't add enough air to make any difference in the fueling. Change the exhaust out then you can run it over lean. You can check in the custom maps database for a better tune for your setup. You'll need a cable with the correct chip, the bluetooth OBD's won't work on your bike to reprogram the ECU.

It has been about 12-13 years since I played with Tune ECU or talked about derestricting tunes etc but wasn't the consensus back then the bikes came from the factory running lean, not to mention the Touring being tuned way down? One of the first things I did to mine was drop in the derestricting tune and then once I added TORS and then the Ramair it went on the dyno.

As far as the OP, doing the derestricting tune at this point may be the best you can do to keep it from running too rich because you are still fairly restricted with airflow due to OEM exhaust. You will see different pipes come up for sale occasionally or you could talk to Paul at Viking Exhaust and get a complete system built then tune it for that. Whatever you do the derestricting tune will wake the bike up and then you will want more, it is the way of the world.
