I've had radar detectors mounted on my bikes for the past 10-15 years. Currently have an Escort on my R3 as will as in my car. I have a small light module mounted on top of the detector and connected to the speaker jack. If flashes a series of red lights when activated. Over the years radar detectors have saved me countless tickets. I seem to suffer from some as yet unnamed affliction that prevents me from strictly adhering to speed limits.

Did get nabbed last year in my car, something like 75 in a 45, by an Indian cop on the reservation. He was quite agitated and was threatening to tow my car and arrest me. I just stood there and listened to him rant for 20-30 minutes and he finally calmed down and wrote the ticket. Radar detectors don't help against instant on radar.

Been using them in my vehicles since my first Escort in the early '80's.

Haven't put one on a MC as yet.

Well it's done, I picked up the escort passport max and the escort live cable. Just finishe registering the devices, updating the firmware and camera database for North America. Now all I have to do is come up with an easy way to install on the beast...

Keep us posted on the install!

L I laser interceptor in conjunction with redline equals invisibility Forget everything else

So could they be mounted onto our bikes Rick , without it looking out of place if you know what I mean. Guessing cops spot one and any chance you had of the cop dealing with the offence sympathetically is shot. Ran into a couple of Hyabusa riders in Qld that had detectors hidden behind fairings.

2 facing forward 2 facing back. They are easy to install. It's the detector that's the tricky one but in WA no probs coz they're legal .how does it work ??? LI is on all the time.detector alerts that a laser device is looking your way. It can't see you however cos your LI is jamming it. If it's ANY sort of camera , redlight/ fixed/ mobile ect you can ignore it. It won't fire as it has no reading, you don't exist cos it doesn't 'see' you.the only real threat is a hand held or vehicle tracking you but once again the undetectable redline or beltronics radar detector alerts you so you leave the LI on, while you discreetly shed sh!t loads of speed and get down to or under the posted limit then turn both off. They now will see a reading on their guns.... Hmmm he's legal... You look your model citizen best and ride on. LI will defeat even IO ( instant on ) it's up to you how you play it. One important thing to note is that with a handheld you MUST show a reading in his view finder. If you don't you will be stopped regardless . I hope I have explained it properly.

i have a friend, who knows a guy, that spoke to a bloke that met a girl who told him about her husband that i don't know, have never met and can't remember the friend that told me but.....

he runs radar detectors, laser jammers and scramblers on most of his cars and may have even had some installed on his old Ducati. Apparently you CAN connect to a headset and there is also a little flashing light you can instal in your peripheral vision within your helmet that alerts you to detection.

2 main problems with relying on this type of technology is 1 point to point cameras will *** you and 2ndly, none of the devices i remember hearing about have the vibration resistance qualities that a motorcycle needs for reliability over time.

The jammer did save that guys licence a couple of times and in particular once when he was riding back from Phiilip Island and saved him from being detected doing over 250kph on his Duc.

As far as fuse blows etc, i believe the easiest way is to have a kill switch conveniently located but remember you need to have a fuse or wire to pull to completely kill power otherwise certain blue suit wearing ****stables can trace where its at.

Obviously this info is purely hypothetical and unreliable as I can't even remember the bloke that told me about the mate so who knows???
