Leaking Radiator
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have just under 5,000 miles on my R3 which I purchased last April.
While returning from dinner last Thursday with my wife on the back, we decided to take a different route and had to ride through some unexpected road construction. I hit some fairly large chuck holes but nothing crazy. Soon after I began to feel moisture from the rad. on my left leg. The vibration had evidently loosened one of the threaded plugs used to attach the chrome plastic piece to the radiator top. Anyway, I was able to ride home the remaining 25 miles but got soaked with water/etheline glycol in the process.
When I called Triumph I thought it wouldn't be a big deal to replace the plug but they informed me the plug is not servicable and the entire rad. must be replaced! On top of that, towing is not covered by my warranty! My Rocket is under 6 months old withe original factory warranty, otherwise the radiator would cost $580.00.
Anyone else with rad. issues?
Thats just the beginning X..THHE
