Ain't got it right yet
From another site.--- Well I hate to say it but I sold the Rocket III today. I purchased this bike (first bike ever) on July 2004. Nice red Rocket. Upgraded the pipes to Jardine giving a dyno of 149 horse power and 150 pounds of torque. She had 41,000 miles on her when I let her go just this last weekend. I had just gotten her back from the shop, after 3 months waiting on Triumph to rebuild the motor due to their gear issues. This was the second time this had to be done. The first rebuild was after the bike was just two years old and one month out of warranty but Triumph did pickup the bill both times. Good for them.
There were other issues with the bike like the three transmistions I went through and the 4 front fork rebuilds. Oh and then the run around with the idle problem, ahhhhh! that took months for them to finaly replace the throttle bodies which fixed the problem.
Anyway, I loved that bike, it being my first and all but enough was enough, maybe I had just gotten a lemon.------WWWWWhen When are they gona fix the problems No excuse for all the years and not fixing these problems..Sorry to hear Flip. Thought you and me had a good one. I want another one but not yet. I can aim nukes at other contries quicker than Triumph can fix small problems.
