R3R Handlebar and OEM crash bar size

I have a 2012 R3R.

Can someone tell me what diameter the original triumph handlebars for this year are, as well as the crash bars (triumph ones) that protect the engine if you drop the bike?

I am looking to add some accessories and don't know the sizes of those bars.

I've got the Triumph bars on my 05 I can't I,m not positive byt I believe they are 1".

I am researching this at the moment. Trying to decide whether or not to buy the OEM crash guards. OEM bars are either 1" or 1-1/4" depending on which one you get. There seem to be 2 generations. The first Gen bars seem to be crap.

Their is something to the old bars not being very strong. After I picked up my bike I noticed the right bar was bent bank a little. I could find no other evidence of it being dropped. So I placed my foot on the bar to push it back in place, and lo-and-behold it bent forward with the greatest of ease. I will be welding a gusset to it soon. I would'nt say it was crap... I believe it was just for looks..

Haaaa. Well, considering that they are called "crash guards" or "engine guards", I would consider being able to bend them with "the greatest of ease" would by definition make them the "greatest of crap".

I would never say a bad thing about my new toy. Thats why I say it's just bling.

Older crash bars had weak mounting points... Since been fixed if you order through a dealer you will get the newer kind.

Handle bars 1"
Crash bars 1.25"

The original Triumph Engine Bars are mounted via a thin flat steel 90 degree flange that can NOT be trusted to hold up under any stress at all. The second generation uses a hefty chunk machined end to mount to the bike. It is strong and works very well.
