Agree with engine crash bar and highway pegs. Seriously wouldn't entertain lowering the pegs.

I'm not lowering the pegs and thanks for the advice.

The Highway pegs I bought clamp on the frame rails below the engine and will be adjusted up and won't be a cornering problem. They will be delivered Monday

Well, I'm on my way this morning to attend a monthly Men's prayer/ breakfast meeting, with a brief Sermon afterwards. I am driving my Pickup but may ride later this morning.

It's 40 degrees here this morning so I won't ride the R3r!

I understand where the OP is coming from... with my "new" knees AND being 6'-6" tall, they just don't bend euff to use the "stock" location and there four need something lower... or forward from the stock location... I have lower pegs on my Valk and that helps out a great deal... Also, I'm looking into getting a taller seat made up, or just getting a King Big Boy....

Let me know how they go. Been looking for highway pegs for the tractor. Did you consider the Mick o Pegs which appear to do what you are looking for. They hang off the Gwing engine bars so would probably fit the R3 and spring loaded for retraction when you drop back to riding the twisties. Another option appears to be the Rivco kit off the engine crash bars which seem fairly adjustable. Not sure it would work for me getting around my exhaust system on the right. Cheers

Same issue, often cramp on the R3r in the factory get up 6' 2" ish and have to rest my legs by putting my leg calves of my legs on the standard pegs. Not ideal so looking solving it this year. Thinking of going the Rivco Gl8004 option with extensions. They appear to fit to the 1" engine crash bars running along the sump. Will let you know how I go if interested? See note to sam above.
