Quick fuel gauge question

I got caught out not so long back, it did that jumpy thing on me and went from 20 to 0 in one go....so I ignored it....when I came to a halt spluttering I was luckily all of 10 miles from home so I got the wife out in the car with a jerry can lol
 
I never want to push my luck, or get air or something else into the injectors, so I usually fill up every 100 miles or so.

Worst I ever did was a fill-up when it was showing a 32 mile range left.

Since I run ethanol free, there's only about four places that sell it within a 40 mile area, and I like to use the one that's only four miles away from home.
 

You don't want to "push your luck" I don't want to push my Rocket.......
I fill up way before I need to - Usually
 


I recently had unifilters and a new tune installed - took a couple of tanks before the fuel gauge stopped ****ing around and started to work properly again.
 
I watched my display this afternoon.

It starts updating the fuel gage and range at 0.5 miles.
