Queensland Bikie Gangs

Thanks for that link - just bought myself a T - can't wait to get it in the mail - the T will bring plenty of attention and no doubt more sales!!

Read something today I'd expect to see on April Fools day.. Robyn Wurth , a jurno with the Gold Coast Bulletin newspaper wrote a piece criticising the treatment of jailed 1%ers. This woman would have to be the most anti-bikie journalist in the whole country. She led a media crusade to rid the Gold Coast of all 1%er clubs. For her to come out and condemn the solitary confinement and steel walls being erected at the bikie only prisons is just unbelievable. She was scathing in her piece about the " inhumane treatment " and " Guantanamo Bay-like conditions" ... described them as a "national disgrace". Called on Campbell Newman to stop the " war on non law-breaking members of 1%er clubs"... un-f#ckin-believable. Never thought I'd see the day that this woman championed the cause of clubbies.

Couple of fellas walking down the road with there wives and children and friends visiting from Victoria today were in for a shock when the fellas were arrested and held in prison for supposedly being linked to 1% motor cycle clubs .it will be interesting to see how this proceeds

Queensland has a long history of repressive government. Lots of f#ckwit inhabitants that are easily fooled into voting for tyrants here. They don't seem to mind being lied to and having their civil rights taken away from them. Previous government of similar ilk was exposed as the most corrupt government in Australia while sprouting a strong law and order stance. How easily the simple minded forget .. glad I'm leaving f#ckin the place.

It's ironic really. The more corrupt and incompetent the government in Queensland, the stronger the stance on law and order. NSW not much better, except it's the other side of politics there. In US speak, it's the Republicans up north and the Democrats down south that seem to have the weakest grasp on reality ie most manipulative and devious (although not much to choose between them).

I wouldn't like to be accused of dragging politics into it but I think the the Qld Government is National/Liberal and the NSW Government is Liberal.
One is more right wing than the other but they are on the same side of the political fence.
I believe the party labels are the exact opposite to the American system.
In Aus, Liberal equals American Republican and Labor equals American Democrats. (pretty close anyway)
I agree with TC's simple minded comment, the electorate usually gets the politicians they deserve and it doesn't say much for the Qld voters.

The majority of Qld'ers do have the heard mentality.

That'll perhaps stand them in stead .. be a few of the braver and more outspoken ones getting herded into the razor wired compound at the end of the rail line at Robina. Got dolphins and sh!t painted on the outer walls .. behind that are a number of razor wired compounds. Mate that has seen it was told it was constructed in preparation of the upcoming G2O summit. Read that 7 out of 10 Queenslanders surveyed said the " supported the current Governments actions" .. f#ckin hopeless shower

Yes. I was talking about the previous Labor government and the recent corruption hearings. Current Libs in NSW seem more plagued by incompetence at this stage.
