Sounds like you fellows definitely have your hands full. Seems to me no matter where you are bureaucracy is stripping away at the very core of human rights. Where in the world it will end, who knows. Very concerning to say the least!

2,000 odd attended the Protest in Brissy yesterday . Campbell Newman (the arrogant lil' prick suggested our time would have been better spent riding somewhere "scenic" ) some good speakers including the Secretary of the ETU expressing his concerns that the very same legislation could be used against their Union. Pointing out of the 120 odd pages of the VLAD legislation ' Bikie Gangs ' are mentioned three times. Any organisation the Government judged to be a threat could be targeted. The G20 Summit Brisbane will be hosting got a mention from a few of the speakers , likening the 'exclusion from CBD ' and the ' named individuals /organisations' as being almost identical to the VLAD Laws. Hope that the protests against this would-be Fascist Dictator continue .. but I have my doubts.

So, if I venture down under to OZ, guess I should leave my colors at home.

And so it goes, an armed populace are citizens; unarmed citizens are subjects, and have no way to control "their" government.

In a free society government exists only to do for the citizens what they can't do for themselves, and has only the power that the citizens have given it; not the other way around.

We're getting **** close here under the current socialist president; And I sincerely hope y'all can find your way back out of the thicket yourselves.

The total crap described in this thread should never have happened to a free people.

Not sure how carrying guns helps you 'control' your government?? Are you blokes allowed to shoot your politicians if they're being tools?

We control ours by f##king them off every 3 or 4 years - our populace vote, it's compulsory.

What a waste of time rocking up to parliament on Sunday. No one is home and you probably were better off going for a Scenic.

At least I had the concern to get off my arse and make myself seen with the other riders ( positive coverage on all prime-time television news ) .. your comments regarding this issue have me wondering what exactly is your point .. self interested folk ??? .. you make that sound like it's a bad thing. I really don't get that to be honest , when it's the so called 'recreational riders' that are copping the brunt of these new laws because the cops are too scared , lazy or incompetent to go find the real targets. Trust me the message would have got the Governments attention no matter what the little turd had to say
