2023 triumph rocket r3
I have a 2023 triumph rocket 3r and I was wanting to change my throttle in sport mode from 60% to 100%.
I was going to use Alf penner map 31018 which is supposed to be unrestricted and it’s not.
Its throttle values are still 61.2% on etv 2&3 so you are not going to get power gain from the throttle.
If you want the 100% throttle from you bike looks like you will have to change the throttle values yourself by paste and copy.
Has anybody check the values themselves and what is your opinion?
Cheers Wayne.

This is Penner’s map and it is derestricted.

That Map 31018 has same values as the standard map. If you download 31018 and look at the etv 2and 3 the values you will see you only still get 61.2% throttle max it’s not unrestricted get 100%

Are you looking in the modified maps or standard maps section of TuneECU? I have the "no restrictions 31018" map that dougl pasted above in my R and it is definitely modified.

Yes that’s where I got the map from and that map if you check its throttle values it’s still only getting 61.2% not 100%

I just checked the map I downloaded from there in TuneECU, and both ETV 2 and ETV 3 (Electronic Throttle Valve values for both Road and Sport mode, Rainmode is unchanged) show 100% at 100% throttle opening? Are you looking at the map or doing a compare? If you do a compare it displays the number from the map you opened first and then just adds a marker to show where it is different. So if you open the base map first and then compare with the modified map, it stills displays the base map values and puts the marker in each field.

Okay I will play around with the map a bit more. If your using the modified map on your bike have you had any issues with it and where do you notice the difference? Do you think this map will put the rocket more competitive against the diavel

You will definitely notice the difference, it really wakes up the bike in those lower gears. I haven't ridden a Diavel to compare, but rode a bunch of Harley's (Fat Boy, Fat Bob, Street Glide, Sportster S etc) recently, and even the standard tune destroys them! I posted a video of the upload process (and the pitfalls to avoid - DON'T reset the adaptions!) on my channel at Rocket 3R Custom Tune

Okay thank you I’ll check it out.

I have a 2023 R and I found its more responsive now. I upped the limit on the rev range also and removed the top end speed cap.

I find it red lines very fast when giving it almost can't keep up with the gear changes.

Also pops more when deceleration which is awesome....

Top end removal probably did not need as I don't or have not hit the original limit.
