Also if you have driven always very gently, you probably have more carbon buildup and it might cause it to detonate easier. Knock sensors are basically microphones. As the motor is there under your face, you would hear it pinging quite easily... if it ever happens. If you are scared to try, it is super easy to mark whole table and adjust whole table couple degrees less. Then copy that table and paste for every gear.
I have feeling it consumes less fuel too, even it must be richer. Feels like i can cruise in lower revs and higher gear too.
