All plugs out and filter off. Drain 1 hr. 5.5 qrts + new filter. Don't even look at the stick. I use Mobil 1 Synthetic which is very clear and hard to see but it does read. BTW is oil bad even if it's still clear transparent after a 5K interval?

Who has this after market digital dip stick?
Shouldn’t the oil come at least to the first line?

It is near impossible to read that shiny stick. I change my oil and filter using 5+ quarts. I go for a short ride checking it as soon as I get back while sitting on the bike holding it upright. It is always hard to see the level on the stick so... I wipe the stick then put it back in, remove it and then check it. I use one of those blue paper shop towels you can buy about anywhere to check the oil on the stick. I touch the rod on the blue towel and then remove it. The towel act like blotting paper. Where the oil is on the towel that corresponds to the stick...that's how I decide where the oil level is. The only other ways is to hold the bike level after the short ride and using a bright LED flashlight, look down in the tank. If the oil is up to the bottom edge of the filler tube, I am good.

Ok so if you guys open what ever dip stick you guys have and stick your finger in will your finger get oil on it? Because even if I start it let it run for a bit there’s no oil on my dip stick.
And all these years I’ve been filling it up until it’s in the middle of the two lines. About 5/12 Canadian liters.
And now Triumph puts oil in and it doesn’t register on my dip stick, they say they put the right amount in.

Sounds like they didn't put enough oil in. I have found you actually have to ride the bike a bit to get an accurate read. I have topped the oil to the line after letting it idle for a bit. I have checked it again after riding and found it to be almost a half quart over the line. Always check the level after riding in my opinion.

That’s what I think all these years I brought it to second line and when I go ride it it’s usually a tinny past the first line.
One time I put a little to much in and had to use one one those plungers to suck some out.
I put a screw driver in just to see if there is any oil in and screw driver hit bottom pulled it out and the level is about 3 inches.
But they say they put what it takes unless all these years I was putting too much in .
But they told me to trailer it in Friday and they will check it over,
If they say its fine and I blow my motor there just need to install a new engine.
