Odometer reading X2 ?? 1 mile shows as 2 miles

My 2013 that I bought brand new, and is running fine, has started showing twice the miles ridden! Everything else appears to be OK, gas gauge, etc. Doesn't bother me much, but will pile up the miles on the clock if I don't fix it. Any ideas ?????

There is also the ability to adjust the speedometer in the tune. Not sure if that could affect the odometer too.

BINGO same thought occurred to me too!
'The odometer accelerator' for us all ....AGE.

If it is easily influenced it might have seen the fitbit watch step counter trend and like most proud users displaying their numbers - cheat!

1 klick is about .62 miles, and that's likely what happened. Same thing happened to me in the early weeks of my first oenership. For awhile there my fuel mileage was OUTSTANDING!
