First of all after I set up the Lifter the way it is meant to be I was able to get it to work. I will put the radiator back on in the morning and let it run for about 10 minutes in the stand. That way I can check for oil or water leaks.
Next on the spacer >> I called the service manager . He has no idea of what it is for. Only thing he can figure is that it was a proposed idea that was scraped. Nothing in his manual about it.

Also ... basic rule.... NEVER rely on Triumph parts drawings .... they are often out of sequence!!!!

The drawing he posted is off Bike bandit. the 04 and 06 plus Marcus's PDF shop manuals do not have the piece in it. I almost thouht he had the thrust washer that goes between the inner hub and the basket. Its part number is T1170941 and is labled thrust washer not spacer.
