NEXX XR2 helmet

Still have the Bell Bullitt. The fit was less than adequate and the wind noise was horrible. The helmet is definitely lightweight and I like the styling. It is the best full face I have used in recent years. Even though the bar sits below my mouth,it's still rubs on my chin. visibility is excellent. I have I have decided to go back three quarter helmet.

What size is yours and model/graphics for that price, carbon? With 3 different shell sizes I would use an XL with large shell.
3 shell sizes
  • SM: XS and SM Helmets
  • MD: MD and LG Helmets
  • LG: XL and 2XL Helmets
Does the noise originate from the screen?
Have you tried it with screen off and wearing goggles?

I have just found this Bell Bullitt Carbon Ace Black Jack - Limited Edition version in Australia for AUD$699 (US$538) Bell Bullitt Carbon Ace Black Jack - Limited Edition | The Helmet Warehouse

Revzilla have better photos on their listing Bell Bullitt Carbon Ace Cafe Black Jack LE Helmet

Matches my bike's graphics and I already have a matching Ace Cafe Triumph jacket, but Revzilla reviews all agree it is very noisy except for one who says it is quiet when using no shield but goggles.

I got mine in XL for $450 US. Tis a Roland Sands Design model. I also got two shields and an extra set of thinner cheek pads.
The noise does indeed originate from the top of the shield and it goes away with the shield cracked open a tad or if removed.

I've been waiting for the Vozz helmet to make it to production and the market place. Looks as if there are a few bugs to work out. Especially at 700 Euros.

Try a little bit of draft sealing tape in the large gap behind the top shield edge and helmet surface under the mesh vents it may work wonders. draft sealing tape - Google Search

I have a Shoei X11 that came with a clear screen that has 2 x 5mm pinlock holes in it but without the pinlock anti fog fitted. The noise from those tiny holes is incredible. I simply put a finger nail size piece of tape over them and found an amazing difference.

I have an old 1999 car that made an unbearable whistle with windows open or closed. My mate borrowed it and discovered the 2-4 mm gap between the moulded mirrors and the mirror stalks was the cause. He used some masking tape and voila - gone.

Air turbulence can be very noisy. That same mate hasn't owned a car for years and uses a helmet sock around the base of his helmets that fills in the gap under the helmet and swears by them for killing wind noise.

Tell us how it goes and if it works I will go ahead and order a Bell Bullitt Carbon Ace Black Jack - Limited Edition.

I am cheap. All I buy is HJC. They fit and work (I Think) besides that way when we stop for gas and it rolls off the seat and hits the ground it is no big deal.:roll::roll:

That there is an EXCELLENT point!

Good idea. I did tape the vent holes, with no success.
May be a tad tricky getting something in there (below the holes) that doesn't interfere with opening the shield.
I shall give it a try . . .
Ya do know all that extra money for a carbon version only shaves a few ounces off?

But it matches my outfit - at least 50% of the population would understand that.:roll:
The AUD$699 (US$538) doesn't seem to bad and I haven't hunted for a cheaper one yet.
I expect you got yours with all those extras for the US$450. Here on eBay they are going for
AU $380.00 Approximately US $293.59 with free delivery.

Did you get bubble or straight shields? The bubble looks weird at first but grows on me the more I look at it - what is difference in performance/view? I imagine the bubble would reduce claustrophobia and fogging and give more room for glasses/sunnies etc.

On first sight I was reminded of another potential Rocket Captain

That link you gave with the under $300US price was awesome & now I am feeling ripped off. :D
I paid $350 for the RSD, which was normally $400.
It came with both the straight and the bubble shields.
The bubble Shield does increase the distance to your face and helps by adding more room.
I intended to add a Communications system to this helmet, witch is useless on this helmet because of the extreme noise with the shield down.
I also miss not having a drop-down sunshield and visor, wish I have in my other Bell.
My Bullitt has only 12 days use on it, so I will likely just sell it off.

I'll take a bubble screen off you before you list it and return some of them Paypal dollars:D.
So far the AUD$699 (US$538) is the cheapest I have found and it only comes with a single flat shield with extra AUD$90 charge for others but they are available on eBay for about AUD$55.

I wear either prescription transitions or prescription Polaroids and add fit-over sunnies or goggles, never tried the drop down shades. I already have a couple of cheap flip ups (great for around town) and another 2x FF for guests / pillions, as well as my Shoei X11.

Check out the USPS First Class International postage to Duffy, ACT 2611, Australia and PM me.
