When you said "really short slip on" you weren't kidding! I'll bet that puppy is LOUD.

Pretty loud, but it's a funny design with a cap on the end and the opening is adjustable with plates, so there's actually quite a bit of baffling. It's not as bad as I thought it would be, I think it actually sounds quite nice but I don't think the authorities will approve of anything louder than a mouse's fart, so I may have to swap it out for a roadworthy.

I'm aware of the bike's reputation for being a) a widowmaker and b) the one you buy if your back's no good for sports bikes but still gotta go fast - I'm a pretty big fella and would feel stupid perched up on a Daytona with my ass in the air. Found myself wanting a peppy cruiser style bike I could ride with the missus every now and again, and being a Triumph fanboy have always wanted to give the massive Rocket III a shot

I've always gotten along better with older folks than myself anyway
