I'm actually pretty aware of what's behind me. Maybe in screen navigation could be another use for the technology.

I would be much happier watching my wifes throat than her mouth. Reading her lips isn't always funny.

Actually saw one, I was in the draw to win one ... but didn't
The guy who invented and markets the helmet is an Aussie SuperBike Team sponsor and they were showing it at their pit garage, tried it on and it was comfy but I felt having the little viewer a little distracting at first but would get used to it.
It actually uses mirror coated surfaces in the top of the helmet with a clear magnifying section in the back outer skin of helmet

I always have that 2010 Arizonia crash in the back of my mind every time i come to a busy intersection. They never knew what hit them. Not that this helmet would have made a difference,but it's good to know whats coming up behind you.
