After I slapped everything back together from my bar extension project my fuel gauge hasn't worked. The yellow idiot light still comes on when the fuel level gets low. Any suggestions?
Only the 'low fuel' warning light on my '10 R3R has worked since I got it. Can't say it bothers me as I know I have a 100km or so from when it comes on and it doesn't go off until I refill. I was told by previous owner it was due to use of a fuel additive which I threw away immediately as an uneducated or BS excuse.
I had a fuel level problem where the low level light would work but no level bars. After removing the positive lead from the battery and replacing it started working again.
I did remove the positive lead for 30 seconds and unplugged and checked the pins yesterday. I'm feeling all brainy that I thought to do this prior to reading it here. I wonder if it has to do at all with me starting it while the tank was up. I wanted to see if everything worked prior to putting it all back together when I did the riser project.
