More rumors about the new Rocket

Not that excited about the new Rocket. Looks like a oversize diavel. :(:(:(:(:( Now if they come out with a touring version that would be interesting. All the talk on the internet is it will have all the goodies like traction control and so forth and so on. You can bet it is going to cost a small fortune. Granted it will have more power than the diavel but weight wise will be much heavier. No way would i buy the first year production. New design and added goodies could and will spell headaches. My Rocket X will be paid for in the following year which means i will have no payments on any vehicles that we own. So a new toy is definitely on the horizon. I'm thinking that any left over Rockets on the showroom floors will go for a song and a dance after this one is released. There are a lot of them out there brand new with no buyers even interested. The money saved on buying a outdated version could and will allow for some great mods that would surpass the new version. Not interested in cruise control, traction control, bluetooth, wheelie control,or for that matter any other CONTROL Goody. Just more #rap to screw up. Am interest in torque and power with a machine that is easy to work on and simple. Call me a dinosaur but i'll pass.

Could be a base for other Rocket III models.

- Expected to arrive early next year.(2019)

The world rumbled awake a few days ago after the pictures of the 2019 Triumph Rocket III were leaked. Now, the details of the bike have been revealed.

The new Rocket III will be powered by a 2500cc, inline-three cylinder engine that will be capable of producing 180bhp and a mind-boggling 230Nm of torque. This engine will be a base for future models in the Rocket III family like a cruiser and bagger motorcycles. In comparison, the earlier bike's 2294cc motor was good for 146bhp and 221Nm of torque. To bring all that monstrous power to a stop, the 2019 Rocket III will use top-spec, Brembo M50 calipers on both ends.

Triumph is also likely to fill the electronic aids pot to the brim with cornerinig ABS, ride modes, cruise control and launch control. It would also get a full-colour TFT screen simialr to the 1200 Scrambler which is Bluetooth, GoPro and Google Maps enabled.

The 2019 Triumph Rocket III is expected to be globally unveiled sometime early next year. We can expect the power cruiser to make its way to India by the end of next year...

sonny you hit it right on the nail with "lots of rockets for sale"the rocket was never a big seller so why triumph would bring another out is baffling, concentrate on what makes you money not trying to show who has the biggest balls- just remember the 60s and 70s

The Rocket was and still is a very affordable bike once all the electronic goodies are added and the price goes up it will be interesting to see what happens.

Hel! am checking out the 2019 Goldwing. Full touring model with the custom package. One sharp looking bike. Like it a lot. Not ready to order but thinking about it. Talk about a touring bike it is over the top. The Rocket X is nice and so is the Harley but dam# this bike would be ideal for a cross american trip. All the comforts of home. Plus the wife likes it. She was checking out the back seat and when i told her you can get arm supports she asked if the bike was on the market now and when we could pick it up.:):):):):) Just thinking out loud but Dam3 it looks like one sweet ride. Off to the local Casino. Had a few beers:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh: and figure why not. Wife is driven so am good with that. To dam3 cold outside to get anything done. Figure might as well give it a shot and see how lucky 2019 is going to be.:):):):):):) Win or lose don't care. Just figure I'll have a good time and enjoy life as it is.:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:

"Just figure I'll have a good time and enjoy life as it is." my feelings exactly! I'm a 69 year old Nam vet, and have a few old age problems, but as long as I can throw a leg over something with a motor on it, I'm gonna have fun. And the bigger the motor, the bigger the smile! Life is way too short to be worried about the small chit!:);):rolleyes::thumbsup:
