Looking to buy an '07 Classic Tourer-any advice?

'07 or '09.
WELL,
If you like the looks of the '07,
wider tire, soft bags, twin headlights, get that one.
If you like the looks of the '09 then get it.
Your choice, your call, your bike.
whichever one calls out "I'm YOURS"
That's the one for you, the one that rocks your world.
Just like a woman, why settle, when you can have the one you want....
Heck, you could settle for a harley, but why?????
get the one that moves you...

I love my '09 Standard. The Standard/Classic/Tourer have more get up and go than the Touring but less torque. Even with the mods I've done, I do notice the effect of an extra person on the back/heavy load, but I suspect the Touring would handle the extra weight slightly better. But it hardly turns the bike into a slug. If you're a "big boy" and/or intend riding 2 up over long distances then the Touring might suit you. If you want that raw grunt and hot performance, and a capable tourer to boot, a Standard/Classic/Tourer/Roadster might be your go.

As others have said, pick the one that suits you best.

By the way, you can have hard or soft bags, 1, 2, 3 or 6 exhausts, fixed or detachable screens on pretty much anything really, but changing up to the fat rear end on a Touring is probably not feasible. And personally, I prefer the black engine.
