Very possible, haven't had a chance to do any longer trips like that. I think the longest I've spent in the saddle is probably 6 hours? Problems with living on an island.
I found that the gel seat gets incredibly hot while sitting in the sun. Otherwise, it's pretty comfortable. I need a back rest so I got a dual touring with backrest.
The main issue is that the Triumph foam is too soft. Depending on how heavy you are you may end up sitting on the seat pan after a few hours. The Corbin is great if you are more on the heavy side. I have also added the BeadRider beads and they are the best thing since sliced bread, imho.
Get a good, long fleece, sheepskin and you will be fine. Rain is not a problem. Shake it out, and then pat it dry with a paper towel. The gel sheepskin is even better, but may melt a little in very hot weather.
Yep, I have never been in so much pain in my life. Even though I'm a bigger guy I can't sit on anything hard, and brother a Corbin is like sitting on molded plastic. It might be shaped right but it had so many pressure points I had to sell it. That's why I like the gel. If your the type of guy that can sit on a stool for hours and never give it a second thought a Corbin would be a great option. My dad always sat on a hard chair over a soft chair. I just have to have a softer seat.
