See the cops are trying to spoil all the fun (yet again) .. hopefully common sense will prevail and fun will be had by all attending. Enjoy yourself mate.

Sprint races had to be moved from Kyogle streets to Casino air field because cops wouldn't let it go ahead. QLD cops wouldn't cooperate so the lionsTT will start at the border and only be in NSW. I'm hoping I don't meet any policemen today. I read in a bike book that the VIC cops say they want to intercept every motorcycle that go's to the GP. Isn't that harassment?

The Vic cops routinely book people for tinted helmet visors and tail tidies. Rampant crime and corruption and boys in blue are doing that. Motorbikes are too much fun for anyone to be allowed to have apparently.

What is the issue with tinted visors? Is no tint allowed in VIC, or is it the darkness of the tint that has their jodhpurs in a knot?

In all the 14 odd years I have ridden to MotoGP and SBK I have only ever seen one instance where they were pulling over every bike and that was the year a ratbag on drugs on a R1 decided he was going to out run a cop and ended up burying himself in the Caravan being towed by a car that his bike at an estimated 200+kmh nearly cut in half killing both occupants so the Cops decided to make their presence felt and pulled everybody over on the way home from the Island, they were courteous and went about their business checking for bald tyres etc
I have many a times gone past a cop down there at 120 and merely had the "ol (one naughty boy) finger wave" but you have to watch for the mobile speed camera traps, they can be sneaky

Good old Qld coppers .. doing what's easy and visible .. as usual. Waste of space most of them fair dinkum

Only went down for the day. The others are still down there. All in all a good day should bee a good weekend. A bit unorganised in a few places but for a first attempt at a big weekend with a lot of things going on it was ok. Cops did there best to make it a failure. If it survives it will only get better next year. QLD police had a road block at the border, hassled everyone who rode the Lions road for breath test, licence check, roadworthy and whatever else come to mind. NSW cops had both sides of the road covered in Wiangarie stopping every bike they could. I managed to avoid them just luck I think. The drag racing at Casino air field was a bit of a failure. The blokes that run the car drags there were running it but because the paperwork wasn't lodged with ANDRA early enough they weren't allowed to let 2 bikes run side by side or use there timing gear. I was going to give the Rocket a run but when they said they weren't timing anyone I kept my $20 in my pocket and gave it a bit of a run on the way back to Kyogle with the added thrill of maybe getting my licence cancelled for 6 months thrown in. Came home around Mt Lindsay. Still the best road around.
