So I've seen a few references to this miracle product of late and since our kilted brother to the south (@scot in exile ) so rarely comments on the subject I thought I would pose a few questions:

1.) Do you use Lemon pledge on your bike?
2.) If so how and where do you use it?
3.) Why do you use it versus an automotive specific product?

Oh...and let's try and keep the goat references to a minimum shall we ;)

Goats are stout-bodied mammals with horns and cloven hooves. There are two types of goats: domestic goats (Capra hircus), which are raised and bred as farm animals; and mountain goats (Oreamnos americanus), which live in steep, rocky areas in the American Northwest.

Goats are members of the Bovidae family, which also includes antelopes, cattle and sheep, according to the Integrated Taxonomic Information System (ITIS). Other members of the Capragenus include the ibex, markhors and turs, which are sometimes called wild goats. Mountain goats are the only living species in the genus Oreamnos.

Size
Mountain goats can weigh from 125 to 180 lbs. (57 to 82 kilograms) and grow from 49 to 70 inches (124 to 178 centimeters) long. Their black horns grow up to 8 to 12 inches (20 to 30 cm) long. They do not shed their horns, so a goat's age can be determined by counting the annual growth rings. Both males and female mountain goats have horns, according to

I do not use lemon pledge. I do however use Pledge Multi Surface Cleaner.

Why and how you say?

A couple years ago I purchased a Memphis Shades screen for my bike. The instructions said to wash it with soap and water. I have a customer that works in the manufacture of poly products, so I called him up and asked what they use to clean product. Jay told me the best product is plain Pledge. No Lemon.

When I went to the store to look for just plain Pledge I found they made a multi surface cleaner that listed plastic so I decided to give it a try. it did a great job on the windscreen, but it over sprayed on the headlight and gas tank so I wiped it off. To my amazement everything looked great. The Pledge also has oils in it that are good for the plastic and will keep it from getting brittle.

I clean and wax the bike a couple times a year. I use the Pledge Multi Surface as a cleaning and touch up cleaner for the entire bike. It does a great job and is easy to pack on trips for the windscreen and front end bug mush. I know there are other products made for this, but for about $2.50 a bottle this is great stuff.

I am a believer.

One other really important thing for those that are compulsive cleaners of gleam machines. DO NOT use tire shine products on motorcycle tyres. Don't ask how I know this.

Now what is this thing about goats?
