They are very easy, either tap into the turn signal wires if you are keeping the stock signals or just cut them off and splice in if not. You will need a load equalizer for the flashers, most kits come with a basic one but I recomend a nice electronic model so there is less heat generated from the equalizer.
I like SDC equalizers, they are well heat sinked and water proof. Here is a dual load equalizer for $18, It's what I installed and it works great. Dual Load Equalizer Module
I went ahead and pulled the lever and bought a pair of the convex Eclipse mirrors yesterday. If I sell my Rocket, I'll pull them off (maybe) and use them on the new R3T.
I just took the bushings out of the mounts on the bike and used their supplied bolts. They look like they won't fit at first, but they do just fine. The square base on the mirrors cover the round hole on the bike and the bolts snug them down. They've worked fine so far, no wobble or movement.
