Jardine Exhaust System

I run Sams perfect storms, ceramic coated inside and out and no heat shields. The thing I noticed was that the radiant heat stopped about 20mm from the pipes (I can put my hand close to the pipe for a period of time and not get burnt) anything closer and it will get scorched.

I'm wondering if you took the header pipe for a set of chrome Jardines for a standard/classic and had it ceramic coated prior to installing the heat shields if it would make any sort of temperature improvement?
I have a set of Predators and do not believe the creamic coating does anything fo heat just protection and good looks. What you should look at doing is pulling the heat shields off and adding some thermol heat tape to the inside of them for more heat barrier. You might even be able to space them of the pipes another 1/4 in ch to allow more air flow behind the shields so they don't heat up as much. (this is just a Isea I cannot tell you if it would work. I think its worth looking at though.)
