Wrap alone didn't stop the heat from my headers (not Rebands , but custom made headers) went to local HD shop and ratted all the leftover stock heatsheilds they had laying around. Found the V-Rod shields with their tight bends especially useful. Cut out what I needed , had them powdercoated satin black ..problem solved.

I might do the same

Might look at making shields then ceramic coat the pipes and shield together.

Good thoughts, everyone. I suppose I'll start with some wrap and the carbon fiber shield that comes with it until I find a more permanent solution. That carbon fiber job certainly seems out of place for the beast.

the headers that Evil Mitch and I have which were made by Sam have double layer heat shields and they do the trick perfectly only the actual bolts still get really hot
