Is Narrower better

The shoulder thing is a pretty common technique for more advanced riders. I often refer to it as "chin over wrist" when teaching newer riders how to corner better.

Yeah it 's refered to by different names but at the end of the day it has the same result better riders with more confident cornering skills and allows people enjoy the ride, Back in 2003 when I formed a new Branch of the Ulysses Club here in the Eurobodalla (the name of our shire) I noticed there were a lot of late starters and returned riders that claimed to be fast (but only in a straight line) literally came to a stop when they came to a Hairpin and even using excessive braking on and into:eek: some sweepers You can only imagine my frustration:mad: when being forced to slow unnesaryilly so at first I just worked on a few of the more competant riders and in no time had them enjoying the :Dtwistys. unfortunitly some that probally should not be riding will never learn till they learn to relax and use body lanugage, so they are made a aware of the fact that they are causeing a risk to others and ride towards the back, and one of the more competant riders (we take turns ) rides shot gun or as some like to call it Tailend Charlie I have in the past oirganised for HART (Honda Advanced RiderTraining) to come here to try and get through to some of them, thinking that maybe these less competant riders might get the drift but alas as I said some should not be on bikes I even saw one of the instructors walkaway from a guy shrugging his shoulders, any way enought of my rant and if I have succeded in helping one or two riders get better and enjoy thier riding experience, job done:)

Yes after I read it in the book I realised that is what Art had me doing the whole time. I was much better in the twisties and it was because Art told me to kiss the mirror on the side I was turning to. This is just as you said hans only I did not realise it was making me countersteer more until I read it while I was down and out from my shoulder surgery. I found that I do have ggod judgment on approaching at a high rate of speed by monitoring the dip in the front end and eliminateing the bounceing of the forks. Its good to keep learning and as for powering out of a curve well you aught to feel it at 12psi boost :D

Spot on, Steady the Ship on the way in and Hammer on the Way Out, sorry but I was of the understanding that it didn't spool up the extra power till higher up in the rev range so You can get it happening down low. Ok I stand corrected, must leave awesome blackies of of the corners you better get a Darkside to get more Grip......just kidding with ya, Cheers gota go it's a gorguos morning not a cloud in the Sky and I can hear The Mistress calling Me. oh how's the Snow he he:D
Cheers
Hans

Ps don't let ya mates see you kissing the mirror to much or they will think you are Queer or up yourself.............. he he ...............sorry couldn't help myself

Funny dude I can't reach the mirror thru the helmet!!!!
The blower spools up gradually its not until 14.5 psi that the horsepower doubles but ypu can feel it from the begining ans the boost guage goes in the positive area, you figure 7 psi is an extra 70 to 80 horse depending what you have in the motor. its like my buid right now will be in the 260's without the blower so if I only run 7.5 psi max the horse power will be in the range of 400. if I decide I want to race and put a map sensor cut out along with turning the boost up to 14.5 can you say 500+ hp

the real reason why I am starting in the 1 bar range is to be able to use the Ltables to better control low end fueling. With the new tune boy and a electronicall control boost regulator I can decide to switch feuling maps and boost level when I want to race at the strip or if I need to prove a point to the sport turds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's not nice, Hans... Preferably, in your sleep, of very old age...

Hey ... what can I say he left the barn door open and the animal in me came in for a feed;)

Hey Warp you are leaving yourself open about reach the mirror with the helmet on but I will refrain and personly I have only one excuse..."the devil made Me do it", yeah I have a warped sense of humor but I guess you may have worked that out by now.
400hp you be bloody carefull you don't get a rush of blood in the middle of a corner or you be faceing the other way after a massive donut forget the DarkSide you need the a Nitros Funny car big bag Slick you might get grip.
Are turning it in to full on race bike or is it still going to be a daily ride, Personly I think I would be happy with just a 230+hp Carpenter Kit or maybe 300hp................. just have to find the Dough see what you have done I used to be happy with my std hp, once a power junky always a power junky eh:D

Hanso just a street bike although I will play at the track every now and then. I guess I am shooting for the fastest bagger on the planet :D

After all it is a Rocket isn't it

and Phill said I was "all in" I think he was trying to tell me that I'm a nutter but I already knew that so what's he call you ................... some people just don't know how much more fun being on the edge is, I don't do nor have ever needed mind altering drugs just a relaxing bourbon at the end of a good ride, Cheers :D
Hans
PS Taking 4litres of my 40% home made Bourbon on the trip should last 10 days I hope depends on just how much the others drink:D
