Is my TPS going bad?

No matter how easy I take it with the right hand twisting, 30 is it. It is not that different if I make the bike run to 5 or 6 k for a second or two.

IK, that was pretty much my mileage all the time, except on extended highway riding. I once went just shy of 40.

Now that I have triple K&Ns and an awesome decel popping elimination tune from Hans0 (Via EastTexIII), I get about 25 MPG around town, and about 31 highway. The bike is noticeably faster though so I am willing to give up the mileage in return for more fun.

Interesting side note, the bike obviously runs much richer. So much so that If I am sitting in traffic, i start to smell like gas when I get off the bike. I kind of like it.

My mileage went up nicely when I installed the AFR Plus from Dobeck. Was getting 32 to 36 before. Now get 36 to 42 with it. Long haul cruising I see 40 to 45. Local riding I see 35 to 40. Riding hard I see 28 to 34. Besides the improved mpg with the Dobeck, I got a 19 hp and 10 tq increase.

Do you have a tune loaded in addition to the AFR+? If so, what tune?

The HP and TQ numbers were achieved with the TORs tune 20226.

Since then I loaded the hot rod version of 20050. With this combination I got 140 HP and 155 TQ.
The fuel mileage figures are for this combination.

I am planning on trying a couple of the hot rod versions of 20228 soon.

Yea you need to dump that 20050 tune..... ask Hanso

Please report back. I am getting 26mpg with city driving (and a bit of occasional heavy handed throttle). Curious to see if the MPG/prerformance improvement justifies the cost.
