Is my TPS going bad?

When you say "sprayed a few short blasts of brake cleaner in the TPS and linkage", did you mean the TPS or the stepper motor? If TPS, you really should clean up the stepper motor (especially inside the rubber boot).

I DON'T THINK THAT THE ECU LEARNS YOUR (SORRY CAPS) patterns. 1 think that with the 12 minute tune that it just adjusts the settings to altitude and air temp ect. and that is just for idle purpose. just my opinion. all the rest is set up in the ecu and u have the sensors air temp,o2,tps map to feed info to ecu. so if u turn the o2 sensor off u lose the fine tune ability.

You may lose the ability to "fine tune" but you gain the ability to dump a whole lot more gas into the beast without the ECU having a fit!

I tend to agree with your opinion from all that I have read. The only reason I don't see any issue in doing the 12 minute tune, is it can't really cause any harm and may have a slight benefit.

Yep I use the Dobeck Performance AFR Plus. I love it.

It allows you to change your AFR to whatever you want in seconds. But what is really nice is you don't need to because you set it up to have 3 AFR zones it automatically changes to based on load and throttle position. I have mine set at 13.2 for idle and decal, 14.2 for acceleration and cruise and 12.5 for WOT getting on it.

I get great mpg cruising and can drink it when playing hard. Oh yeah did I mention no heat on the right leg ?

Could you please quantify what MPG is in each scenario?
