Idiots can't back up

I ride it home. No wobbles, no noises, no weaving. Brake checked hard enough to activate front abs with no issue. Should be fine, thankfully everything on the Rocket is bigger than normal so it's strong.

BUT I'm still going to tax his insurance for at least: New fender, new forks, new triple trees, new wheel bearings, new headstock bearing and new rock guards.

As far as being in a blind spot. Yes I kind of was BUT his truck has a backup camera and parking assist. He was distracted by the chicken head in the passenger seat.

The one and only reason it didn't get physical... on post and in uniform, had it been anywhere else the ****ing 2nd lieutenant would have learned a whole new level of ****ing furious NCO.

good judgement; definitely not worth any UCMJ to compound crappy day. Hopefully his insurance steps up and recognizes full damages without any molars needing to be pulled

Temporary stock fender fitted.... grrrrrr

I think you can fix that white stripe with some shoe polish. Do they still polish shoes in the military?

I did the parts list of replacement parts, most of them in the name of safety, as in, "If you the Adjuster will bet your life on the part, go take it up to 180mph and come back other wise your paying this much" is done.

Total Damage: $5950 in replacement parts to make sure its 100% legit.

The bikes insured for 30K, so there's basically no chance they'll write it off.

:eek:Holly Crap!!!! that is really bad news, I dont really go for Black bikes but I was thinking how nice and neat it looked in a recent photo:thumbsup:, like other have said and I am sure you know get the wheel checked but also the bearings as they aren't designed for side load like that, also surprise the guy is still standing don't know if I could have stayed that calm, lastly what gets me is if that had happened here in Auss he could have said it was in his blind spot but over there with him getting into the left side he must of been friggin:mad: blind not to see it and obviously didn't use his side mirrors when backing

Are you saying a red motor would have been seen by the douche-canon?   :p

Rob,
So sorry for your disaster at the hands of Lt. Douche-Canon!  :x3:
Weather for tomorrow is lookin' pretty iffy anyway . . . :(
Smart man you be avoiding a 15 at your advanced career stage!

Yoir lucky my wifey backed into mine and knocked it over. Man I know how you felt.
Back when i had a Bonneville My wife ran over it with the pickup. My fault. Moved the bike to work on a riding lawnmower and parked it right behind her truck. Was grabbing some tools from the shed when I heard a horrible metal to metal noise. Came out of the shed to see my bonneville under the rear wheels of the truck. She never looked and I never even thought about it when I parked where I did. It cost plenty getting both vehicles repaired. Since that incident I have been real careful in where I park the bike wherever I am at. Especially parking lots.

Sorry to hear about the damage.
Is the carbon fibre front guard much lighter than the standard?
What about the fork guards?
Nice bike. Good luck against the rice burners too!
