Idiots can't back up

Scott,
Even if the cage driver had purposely struck the motor, it was NOT an attack against the person of the rider.
Ummm ya lost me. If a driver strikes bike deliberately, how is it not a threat to the person on the bike? Generally if you hit the bike, the rider is hurt also. Seems to me it's assault with a deadly weapon.

Depends if it was parked with or without rider on it at the time.

Only if done with the intent to harm the rider.
I don't think we know if the rider was aboard or not and certainly we know not the cage driver's intent. o_O  :x3:
I assumed that it was a stupid parking mistake by the cage driver. My assumption of cage driver stupidity was supported when he bent over "asking" for the hammer. :D
Me thinks that even IF the rider was aboard when knocked over by the cage, his entering a beef displaying/threatening with a hammer was WRONG and needlessly escalated the incident to life threatening status.
Good discussion!

I assumed since he was wearing his helmet, that he was probably aboard the bike. And again not seeing what proceeded, you are correct about not knowing the drivers intent. If it was an accident, then yes the rider was way out of line. If he hit bike and rider deliberately, then the driver got what he deserved.

Yes nice to have a discussion like adults, so it doesn't have to go to the final drive.

He has a funny way of wearing his helmet when aboard his bike! ;):roll: He may of partially taken it off after being struck. I have seen Asian cities where this is a common way to wear a helmet too (WTF) so not definitive.

Claviger will have a far better idea than me, he has researched it pretty thoroughly. I got a hwhole heap of CF stuff for my Sprint 1050 ST from an Australian company who gave a a big discount for a package. He had enough sales orders for a number of different brand/models bikes and obviously could get his Chinese supplier to one off orders of different pieces because of because of it.

Never thought to ask him for Rocket3 stuff prior to now. A number below I have dealt with:
cactuscomposites on ebay Spain/UK.
Carbon-dude Australia - ebay Australia & RACECON PRODUCTS PTY LTD direct email - conrace@bigpond.net.au contact: Peter Connelly
Eastcarbon - ebay Hong Kong, email - eastca_hys6127ri@members.ebay.com.hk
carbon-fiber-motorcycle-parts - ebay USA phil.larschan@gmail.com
Shop Online Sales Carbon Fiber Motorcycle & Car Spare Parts bodywork - USA
swrcarbon (3557) - ebay Poland
ECCRacing - ebay USA

Another US supplier who ships International and will do custom orders (probably from China) but does offer straight CF or same items cheaper with Carbon and fiberglass.
Triumph ROCKET Carbon Fiber Parts Index.
