I have a dead Coil.

At the risk or resurrecting an old thread, would a dead coil/loose connection generate an error code? My 2012 Roadster suddenly started running on 2, haven't had time to have a detailed look yet, but no error codes on TuneECU. I am desperately hoping/praying/beseeching to all that's holy that it's a dodgy coil/connection, even though there were none of the usual warning signs......

Probably. If the coil is getting the low voltage and not discharging the high voltage it may not throw an error code.
