it apears that in the standard tune 4th and 5th gears run with fully open secondarys
so a diferent tune is not needed when removing the secondarys on stock bikes
but if you have made any of the intake or exaust more free flowing then ritchened the tune with a canned tune (226/228 )
the secondarys are closed to ritchen the tune and by removeing them you run the risk of going lean
lots of riders have aftermarket exausts, cat deletes and K&N drop in filters and would love to open the secondarys to 100%
but untill somebody posts a properly dyno'd tune it's not safe (tune ECU tunes needed)
i suspect that the stock bike straight from the factory would out drag most bikes that have been modified by there owner
(F/A and properly dynoed bikes excluded)
