dropped my motor off at a machine shop to have the head ported and the tranny repaired and up graded and have not heard from them in at least 10 weeks, what is the average turn around time for this kind of work??? its an 05 with a screwed 4th gear, and a porting of the head.i removed the motor to save time and money. does not seem to be working out

Knowing nothing about your situation, all the labor you have performed is what you're saving -- probably a pretty penny where you reside.

I presume you check on them from time to time . . . and I would guess, if they're not familiar with the Rocket, it could have taken them this long just to figure out from where to order the parts, and that, only if they're actually motivated (and have never heard of this site).

Does your bike have the update kit in it ?

Again, knowing nothing about your situation, to what kind of shop did you take it ? Did you have any word-of-mouth recommendations, or better yet, first hand experience ?

I read on this site (I may have slept in a Holiday Inn recently, if you catch my drift) anywhere from four to twenty hours.

If you gave it to me, I would take at least this long just to decide what to do, much less any actual work done.

If you want any assistance here, I suggest you need to supply a more complete context.

In the end, we all want you to be restored (or better) to the fabulous machine delivered nigh on 13 years ago come July.
