Remember in Europe you cannot go more than five minutes without croissing a border or seeing a shop, now down under them boys can ride for a couple of thousand miles and see nothing but some big leg sexy roos.
Here is our traveling set up. Beetles stuffed to the brim, backpack weighs probably 50-60 lbs. Looks like a disaster waiting to happen. Actually can barely tell the backpack is on there. Amazed the $hit outta me

It's a no name the wife bought from a street vender for $130.00 . It has worked very good for us. I made a plate out of lexan that bolts to my backrack for it to sit on.
These days 93 octane, enough clothes for the trip ,and a credit card.. i don't have any pictures of the Rocket loaded up but it looks similar to Rocket Scientist's.. Without a sissy bar it is pretty awkward carrying anything, this is a picture of the early days
I travel from Phoenix, AZ to Las Vegas and San Diego, CA with just what fits in my Mutazu RS bags. I try to cross load them equally using a couple old helmet bags as inserts. It's pretty convenient to just open the hard bags, grab the two helmet bags and got. The helmet bags weigh nothing and I just leave them in the hard bags for light shopping. COSTCO doesn't do bags, they only box up your products.
The top item in the right saddlebag when I travel is always my S&W Govenor

Thanks, since it's winter I've been playing around with different configurations. I was very interested on how the beast reacts with different weights on that luggage rack. I have a small pack system about 40 litres or so for all my camping gear, weighs in at about 15 pounds. This is what I want to strap to the back end.
On the pillion seat I'm going to strap down the Kreiga US 30 and 20 litre dry bag system. Takes about 3 minuets to install. What I like about these bags is that they are modular and you can add or take away what you need for the type of trip.

Hardly any borders now really - except to/from the UK. And thinking back I cant remember having to stop Germany-Holland-Belgium in the early '90's either. I'm planning a round trip to do the Romanian pass roads - 2000miles each way - having to stop to bloody fill up will be a bigger PITA than slowing down at borders.
But if we can get Scott to lend us the 450bhp (and 200mph) Falcon, we could try and do it in 5 hours, Hans.
My longest non-stop (and I do mean non stop) was Köln->Madrid. But in a car with a trailer. 2128kms.
Two fuel stops no border stops - but 3 border crossings.
