help needed

when i turn the key on all i get is head light horn and blinkers work.no ignition lights nothing in the gauges at all.has anyone else had this happen.

first thought is the clutch switch. I just had to replace mine. similar symptoms.

can also be any of the other safety switches such as gear position, sidestand, tip-over.

since you are getting the headlights and blinkers, it doesn't sound like the ignition switch. Having a 2005, if you haven't installed a headlight relay bypass then eventually you will be dealing with the ignition switch.

Did you look at the wiring diagram? That might help you narrow your possibilities. If you need help, there's plenty to be had.

If the battery, fuses and kill switch checkout ok.... My guess it is the ignition switch

Same thing happened to me in the middle of the night on a hill with friends looking on. It was the kill switch that I never use, except stopped on a hill I had my hands full.

hi folks
found the problem.10 amp kill switch fuse.checked kill switch.
i thought i would have a close look at the fuses,sure enough the 10 amp had a small break.

dont know if every ones aware but you cant buy ignition switch for early r3.they sell you a late model one witch you have to rewire
