Well, with the brain cells I've squandered, I'm probably only a small bump away. But I still keep it covered on the off chance it will last a bit longer.
motolegends (british) has a good return policy. Roof isn't very common in the states, so you may have a bit of trouble finding one there. It might cost a little more, but check with some of the Ducati dealerships?
The fit issue can be a big deal. Unless you have one of those heads most any helmet fits, be very careful about buying one without trying it on.
I made that mistake once and wasted $500 on a Schuberth. Since I can only wear Arai helmets comfortably I should have known better, but a review said it had a long oval shape. Don't believe everything you read.
the triumph dealer I go to has a terrific parts manager and he ordered the roof desmo for me with the stipulation that if for some reason I do not like it I can return it back to the wholesaler via the retailer naturally.
I took the plunge $539. 00 taxes and shipping included . will give a report when I try it on.. if anyone is interested in this helmet.
I have heard of quality issues with ROOF helmets. I have had a major hard on for a Shark Evoline 3st since they came out. I currently sport a Suomy spec1r extereme, but enjoy a jet style through town. Mod helmet seems to jive for me. Unfortunatly a Schuberth is outta my price range.
