Dave,

I am so sorry, it is especially bad when you loose one this time of year. Like most of the prior posts we have all been there, although they are gone the memories will always remain. The names in my case make up a long list, Dakota, Lee Roy, KZ, Winston, Bingo, Termite, Mi-Ling, William, Sammy, and Black Cat. Everyone a stray, abandoned or neglected. I am down to Newman and Baxter and the Wife and I have decided there will be no more. We just don't want to go through the pain when you have to take that final dreaded trip to the vet. Newman was found under a bush in our back yard as a barely weened kitten clinging to life a little over a year ago. Baxter came home over 12 years ago now, a puppy thrown out in the dead of winter because he had an accident on the floor. I wish you all the best my friend, I am sure both of them are looking down on you and yours through this Holiday Season........

Would like to say thank you to everyone for the kind words, as most of us know it pulls at the old heart strings when we have to let our best pals go in fact I hate saying it but I have known a few people over the years who I would put down before my pets(good xmas spirit I have)
All the best to you all and your lovely pets .

Lost my wife's kitty not to long ago. "Kitten" was a great kitty. Lived to 17 yo. I thought she was napping when I found her. She wasn't.
