Hi Guys,

I have recently got myself a R3T and love it. Yes love it.

But.....

The only cloud on the horizon is the angle of my right hand/wrist when riding. Does anyone have any suggestions for different bars to change this angle?

Thanks

Denny

just put a set of street sweeper handlebars on my 09 rt they will fit with stock cables .the angle of your wrist is alot better than the stock bars. they are a bit narrower and a bit higher than the stock bars . they bring your arms forward a bit they feel like a high set of drag bar. i have not taken the bike on along ride with the bars yet .will do so this weekend. i did not put the weights on the ends of the bars no virbatoin . i have set of iso grips going to put them on after i know if i am going to keep the bars on . i might change the risers 2up 1 back to get the bars a little closer. i will try to post pics

Thunderbird risers & Roadster bars.........perfect...........for me

Give harley bars a try.
They'll fit, both Triumph and harley are 1".
Go to the harley shop, sit on their bikes,
find a set you like and buy them.
i've got Road King bars on mine.
Had to get new brake lines made,
$30.00 total I think it was, and just rerouted the other cables.
but well worth it to have a more comfortable riding position for my hands..

I just traded my 07 Harley Street Glide in on my 011 R3T. The handle bars on the SG were perfect for me. I had to lower the R3T bars down to where they would just clear the tank to get them to fit me. The bars are more like Harley beach bars. If you go to a Harley dealer to sit on some bikes, try the SG.

Also, the throttle return springs are way tighter on the R3T than on the Harley. I'm already having problems with hand cramps riding long distances on my new R3T!

I added Throttle meister throttle locks to mine so I can dial in the amount of return I'm comfy with. I tossed the plastic throttle assist paddle thingy after installing the throttle meister's.

Loosen the clamps and rotate the bars down 1/2" and see how that feels.
That 's what I did, Yesterday had to take bike to dealer to have the tripple clamps and fork lowers replaced under warranty shop mecanic put them back where factory spec says and on the way home noticed discomfort be rotating back again this morning makes a large difference to comfort
