Ride
Triumphs, but no Rocket just now.
Les (Ozrider) has made the trek from Brisbane to Canberra to spend Christmas with family. It's been great to catch up with him after a very brief meeting in Hervey Bay in September 2012. Good to see his knee seems to be working and also to get a close look at that hot exhaust he made.
We went a bit of a ride yesterday dropping in at Honeysuckle Creek on the way.
Amanda and I went out there last year - http://www.r3owners.net/threads/where-did-you-ride-this-weekend.14873/page-3#post-184659.
Les took a couple of pics and had his Go Pro running so hopefully he'll post them.
Great ride with a top bloke and look forward to seeing more of him and catch up with Helen before he goes back up north.

Thanks Richard, good to catchup
Nice ride to have a look up at that Apollo tracking site, always thought Parkes was it.

Had a good trip down, after talking to TC, I came via Putty Road, across Bells Line and down, great country side and bikers heaven roads. A must do for anyone wanting to bypass Sydney.
I must have picked the hottest days to travel, got up to 40 degrees both days.

Headed over to Batemans Bay yesterday and caught up with Hanso & Ruzzle

Will have a go at a link for the go pro footage.

Looking forward to meetin up with you guys in a few days .unfortunately I won't be riding but should be able to borrow my brothers Harley .hope the weather bloody cools down for ya les .

Was Great to meet you up at Braidwood a come down the Mtn with you and then take you over to Ruzzel's then back along the coast road Shame it was only a flying visit but you got to see some of the best spots down here if only fleetingly(had to bypass some really nice little hamlets along the way) next time you are down this way I might even get a chance to shout you lunch.
Thanks again for the gizmo and your good company, it pissed down rain most of the evening after we spoke .... cooled things down nicely not that it was overly hot yesterday, as I said have a good time up the Alpine country and have a safe trip home

watch out there is as usual a higher presence of boys in blue (they bring a heap from sydney and other inland areas over the Christmas break and Double Demerits are in force) on the roads leading into town there are temporary 80km zones in what is normally 100km over the break also due to Holiday makers from Canberra and surrounds being a bit Zombyifed by the fresh coastal air, watch the cagers as they are dangerous on local roads our population trebled yesterday and over the coming days will grow even more the town will be gridlocked over the next couple of weeks

Hanso all the electronic gadgets will be on as we enter your state mate to keep us well within the legal boundaries .i have only 3 points left and riding a Harley whilst down there I should be safe thanks mate

Have to stay over at Gosford tonight. Had a few dramas On the way down a driver directly in front decided to go to sleep at 115kph He ended doing a180 degree turn reversing down the highway ploughing into the heavily treed medium strip. I missed him .we managed to get him out of his car and wait for assistance, then a fatality between Newcastle and Sydney. We just got off Gosford an decided continue our trip tomorrow .hopefully we'll have a better run

It can be the smarter move to get off and have a good nights rest after seeing and going thru other peoples Bo Bo's.
Just glad you are safe take care Pal

Cruised down to Thredbo yesterday, picked another great day to travel for the couple of hours trip, rain showers on the way and hail on arrival at Thredbo.
Looks like the weather is going to be a lot better later in the week so we are looking at doing a ride up to Charlottes Pass and head back via the Alpine Way to Canberra before we travel back to Brissie
